New Years Eve Party | Dressing up with Trouble Lounge ladies

December 20, 2017

Party season has well and truly begun, works Christmas parties, family parties, meals out with friends, there are a million and one excuses this festive season to dress up and stomp around in your party heels.

And then there's New Years Eve... we all want to start 2018 as our most sparkly selves, don't we?

Thankfully there are an abundance of festive dresses out there this season so we decided to enlist the lovely Trouble Lounge (the clue is in the name) duo to join us for a New Years Eve party shoot.

First stop was Topshop for this Pink Satin Wrap Kimono Style Dress with long sleeves and a plunge neckline. This dress is so easy to wear and especially flattering for the bustier ladies. Teamed with this seasons Kitty in snake print and some purple tassel earrings you will be bang on trend.

Sarah models the Floral Mandarin Collar Mini Dress from Nobody's Child. Styled with some silver beaded tassel earrings from ASOS and our very own Grace in Midnight for some added glam.

Kitty was a new addition this season, with a soft square toe and stacked heel. Fastened with a back zip and trimmed with a popper detail this sharp boot will see you through the party season. What says New Years Eve better than this stunning Spanish snake print leather.

Grace is a pretty, low-cut ankle boot ideal for all four seasons. The curved leg cut is particularly flattering and the mid heel is ideal for dancing the night away. Stunning deep blue/black leather with a subtle metallic finish, a party season favourite.

Next comes Marks and Spencer:  Their party collection this year is fantastic, dresses, jumpsuits, blouses, tailored trousers, you name it. We picked this gorgeous Velvet Drape Waist Dress for a few different reasons, firstly the colour is absolutely beautiful, so deep and enticing, whether you have a naturally curvy shape or not this dress enhances your figure by drawing you in at the waist, it also has a really flattering hemline.

Paired with our classic silhouette, Kitty in black leather you have the most elegant of combinations.

The other velvet number (because you can never have too much velvet) is the True Violet Velvet Fluted Sleeve Midi Dress from ASOS. Such elegance in it's simplicity and the colour absolutely epitomises Christmas. We added the Kitty in metallic but you could also style it with Kitty in snake print or black

Sticking with M&S we have this stunning Metallic Knot Detail Short Sleeve Jumpsuit if you feel like channelling Studio 54 at your New Years Eve party. This jumpsuit is full length and looks great with our Kitty boots.

Kate is modelling the sparkliest of all party dresses, forget a disco ball... you are bringing all the glitz this year. Described as ASOS ultimate sequin mini dress, they are not wrong. Silver sequins and Grace in true red are a match made in heaven.

Whatever the occasion we hope we have helped cross off one job from your Christmas to-do list! If in doubt, work from the feet up.

It was such a pleasure shooting with Kate and Sarah of Trouble Lounge and thank you to the lovely team who helped to get them New Years Eve ready.
